Youth from the Municipality of Vrapchishte Organized a Food Fair
Vrapchishte - Youth, parents and teachers from the municipality of Vrapchishte organized a food fair for the community on the premises of the local primary school.
More than 280 students joined hands to prepare a variety of dishes. This was a collaboration between the parents who prepared the food, the students who helped and also coordinated between the school and their parents, and the teachers who significantly contributed to the décor. Local businesses, mainly restaurants and stores, also supported the process by lending the necessary equipment for more complicated dishes and by providing fresh products and other needed ingredients.
With the support of the school management, this fair is becoming an annual event. This year, the students' parliament decided to use the funds collected from the sales for students' needs such as: supplies, outdoor classes and visits as well as for other fresh ideas.
This activity is part of the project "Providing support to youth in local communities in North Macedonia", funded by the UK Government and implemented by IOM North Macedonia.
