Support to the Newly Established Operational Team for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings
Skopje - On May 27th 2022, IOM North Macedonia, under the auspices of the WBJAST Regional project, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, supported the organization of the initial workshop for development of operational procedures for the newly established Operational Team within the National Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and Illegal Migration.
The team, consisting of representatives of the Basic Prosecutor's Office for prosecuting organized crime and corruption, the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and NGO Open Gate La Strada International, will further streamline the process of identification and referral of victims of trafficking.
