Software to Support Data Analyses of Remittances

Skopje - The IOM’s Head of Office, Ms. Sonja Bozinovska-Petrushevska and the Governor of the National Bank, Ms. Anita Angelovska-Bezoska have signed an agreement for a software donation.

“The software will support the institutional data exchange mechanisms and collaboration among the relevant institutions. In particular, it will be used by the National Bank for analysis of the results and data gathered from the survey of the remittance-receiving households in North Macedonia, which is planned to be conducted with the Joint UN project support during the second half of 2022” said Ms. Bozinovska-Petrushevska.

The donation is provided within the project ‘Evidence-based migration policy planning and discourse in North Macedonia’ funded by the Migration Multi-Partner Trust Fund. The joint UN programme implemented by IOM as lead Agency, with UNHCR and UNFPA under the overall coordination of the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office aims at supporting the national institutions in the area of management of the demographic and migration in the country. The project is focused on supporting North Macedonia in the area of evidence-based migration policy design and implementation, strengthening the inter and intra institutional data exchange mechanisms among key institutions with competences on migration management, as well as information and awareness-raising activities on the development contribution of migrants.
