IOM Director General Meets President Pendarovski
Skopje - From 14 to 16 November, the IOM Director General, Antonio Vitorino paid a working visit to the Republic of North Macedonia. The UN Resident Coordinator in North Macedonia, Rosana Dudzak, the Regional Director of IOM for Southeast Europe, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Manfred Profazi, the Sub-Regional Coordinator for the Western Balkans and IOM Chief of Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Laura Lungarotti and the Head of IOM in North Macedonia, Sonja Bozinovska-Petrushevska also participated in the meeting.
During his visit, Vitorino had a meeting with the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski to discuss issues related to migration management and the close cooperation between North Macedonia and IOM. As part of the visit, Vitorino participated in the Ministerial Conference "Sustainable Migration Governance in the Western Balkans", co-organized by the Czech Ministry of Interior, under the Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the Ministry of Interior of North Macedonia, with the support of IOM - UN Migration.
