Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across North Macedonia, IOM provides a comprehensive response to the humanitarian needs of migrants, internally displaced persons, returnees and host communities.

IOM DIRECTOR GENERAL-ELECT MEETS WITH GOVERNMENTAL AND COMMUNITY REPRESENTATIVES IN NORTH MACEDONIA
During the Prespa Forum Dialogue, the Director General-Elect of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Amy Pope, had bilateral meetings with the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovachevski the Minister of Interior of North Macedonia, Oliver Spasovski and the Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Jovanka Trenchevska to discuss data-driven and innovative migration solutions that can foster economic growth and prosperity throughout North Macedonia and the Western Balkans.
The protection of vulnerable migrants and victims of human trafficking, as well as advancing cooperation between North Macedonia and IOM regarding migration and sustainable development, were also discussed.
During the official visit to North Macedonia, Ms. Pope also visited a local community where IOM is implementing a social cohesion initiative targeting youth.
