Discussing Public-Private Partnerships in Working With Vulnerable Groups
Skopje - On October 6, 2021, in Skopje, a conference with representatives of the business sector of the Republic of North Macedonia took place with the purpose to discuss the potential for public-private partnerships in working with vulnerable groups. More specifically, the participants discussed the role of the business sector in creation of sustainable communities and social and economic integration of different marginalized groups.
During the conference, supported by the Government and organized in collaboration with the Economic Chamber of North-West North Macedonia, the collaboration between the public and the private sector to jointly tackle these issues was emphasized as well as the promotion of social responsibility.
The business sector representatives during the discussion presented concrete examples on how their companies have created internal policies on inclusion of employees from marginalized backgrounds. As a background to the discussion, the moderators shared the global and European trends of the role of the business sector in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and Leave No One Behind principle as well as the existing experiences in this regard in North Macedonia.
