Capacity Building Training on Interview Techniques for PVoTs and VoTs
Ohrid - On July 12th, 2022, the State Secretary of the Ministry of interior and National Coordinator of the National Commission for Combatting Trafficking in Human Beings and Illegal Migration, Ms. Magdalena Nestorovska, and IOM North Macedonia Head of Office Ms. Sonja Bozinovska Petrusevska opened the 3-day workshop in Ohrid on Interview Techniques for Potential Victims of Trafficking (PVoT) and Victims of Trafficking (VoTs).
The workshop is a follow-up activity on the ongoing IOM efforts to support the national capacities in addressing migrant smuggling and other transnational organized crime in North Macedonia, funded by the Kingdom of Netherlands. The three-day curriculum, including a full-day session on stress management techniques for frontliners will expose the participants – members of the National Unit for Suppression of Migrant Smuggling and Trafficking in Human Beings (Task Force) and the Mobile Teams, including police officers and social workers to best practices and techniques to further enhance the effective discharge of their daily duties.
The recruitment of Ms. Gordana Buljan-Flander, a highly experienced international consultant, further ensures a successful delivery and sustainability of the intervention. The gender aspects in countering trafficking and smuggling are particularly considered and mainstreamed in capacity-building training.
